Montserrat Tura i Set is a Spanish politician who was born on November 23, 1948, in Barcelona, Catalonia. She was a member of the Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC) and served as Minister of Justice of the Government of Catalonia from 2003 to 2006.
Tura studied law at the University of Barcelona and began her political career in the 1980s as a city councilor in her hometown of Badalona. She later served as a member of the Parliament of Catalonia and as Secretary of Equality and Citizenship of the PSC.
During her time as Minister of Justice, Tura focused on improving access to justice and legal aid, as well as promoting gender equality and combating domestic violence.
